Tyrone “Ty” Heitmann has been practicing Physical Therapy for more than 20 years.
Ty began his career with a degree in Sports Medicine Technology from Denver Technical College. He received his Master’s in Physical Therapy from Howard University in 1998.
He became a Certified Manual Therapist from the University of St Augustine in 2007. In 2016, he became a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist through the Institute of Advanced Musculoskeletal Treatments. Ty began training in Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) in 2006. He has always believed in a hands-on approach to patient care and the healing power of human touch.
He continues to advance his skills in the manual treatment of concussions. Ty has extensive practice in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. He works with the top orthopedic and physical medicine physicians in the Mid-Atlantic region and Northern Virginia on injury prevention and functional restoration of patients. We treat all pre- and post-surgical total joint replacements, rotator cuff repairs, ACL injury and repair, spinal and neurological post-operative rehab and many other conditions.
